High Hopes for the 2011 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship

As early as today the American Motorcyclist Association or AMA in short is anticipating a successful Regional Championship season for the 2011 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships which will be held at Loretta Lynn Ranch and to be produced by MX Sports. The MX Sports plays a vital role in the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship since aside from organizing the said event; it also provides the rules package and sanctioning to determine the best amateur motocross racers in the country.

According to Joe Bromley, AMA Director of Racing, “The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, including the Area and Regional qualifying schedule, are a nationwide program that requires enormous organization and precise execution. MX Sports delivers, year in and year out, and this year is promising to be one of the best ever.”

One of the exciting part of the 2011 Motocross Regional Championship is the return of the Gatorback Raceway in Winter Garden, Fla, which is a local favorite. The other anticipated event is the South Central Regional Championship which will be hosted by the Thunder Valley Raceway in Lakewood Colorado. This is going to be a great change for Colorado riders who often have to travel further south just to compete in the Regional Championships.

For years the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships has helped breed the best motocross racers in the world and qualifying for the Loretta Lynn event has never been easy. Here’s what Kip Bigelow , AMA Motocross Manager has to say on this regard, “These competitors must race their way through a challenging Area and Regional qualifying system that guarantees a best-of-the-best lineup at the championships every summer. The AMA is looking forward to working with the dedicated and talented staff at MX Sports, and all the local track organizers who will make this happen in 2011.”
